Senior Capstone Project 2 / Semester 1/2021

Abstract:

In the present day, our world is full of trash and many electronic wastes. Many of these waste products take a long time to be recycled naturally. Moreover, some of it can affect the environment if not recycled properly for example plastic. The solution for the problem are three R – reduce, reuse, and recycle. This project was designed to help the environment and people by helping them to separate objects like aluminum, glass, paper, plastic etc. that can be recycled. The machine in our project uses sensors to detect the material of the object and separate them into four specific types otherwise it will be rejected. Therefore taking these factors into consideration. Moreover, it will weigh the object and calculate the price per weight to show the user on a screen for convenience.
